Holy panel gap batman!
My buddy taking the shots just had to fit in one shot with his car in the background...

Those hood vents are absurd but I like it! So nice to see an s2k in a color other than silver too.

What wheels are those?

They’re the factory wheels but were smoked by the previous owner...

I know you mentioned making it more stock, but what about just painting that hood. So its at least a little subtle?

I’m coming around on the hood... I’ll probably paint over the CF still showing for the little offset hood bulge, and I think that’ll make it a lot less jarring.
Car was resprayed by the previous owner. I’m not sure exactly what color, unfortunately... maybe the old Fuji Blue they used to use on Civic SIs?

Oh a respray? I thought there was an OEM blue for the s2k? You would probably come out ahead selling the hood though and just buying a stock one. You would at worst break even cost-wise. Hardest part would be paint matching if its some obscure aftermarket color. Dealing with paint is the biggest pain in the ass, I wish it were easier lol.

Have I mentioned how much I love that blue? I did? Well I willl say it again. I love that blue.

Definitely considering that route, especially since the wife likes the hood. At the least I’ll paint over the exposed CF on the offset bulge-- that’s really the thing that’s the most jarring to me. I’ll need to figure out exactly which blue it’s been painted first though.

I LOVE that color blue. Those pictures with the just the car (or the car and the pipes) in color are awesome.

Yeah, me too! I’m trying to figure out exactly what is is right now. I think it’s either Electron Blue Pearl or Fuji Blue... both blue colors that were used on civic SIs.... or it could be Montecarlo Blue, which was used on the S2Ks. I’m guessing Electron Blue Pearl... just because it’s a well known color that almost everyone with a Honda seems to use. This is my first Honda so I’m kinda starting from scratch as far as paint colors...

Yeah, could be Electron Blue Pearl or Fuji Blue... both blue colors that were used on civic SIs.... or it could be Montecarlo Blue, which was used on later S2Ks. I’m guessing Electron Blue Pearl (EBP) which people seem mildly obsessed with. The only blue they used in ‘06 on the S2K was Bermuda Blue, which looks a little lighter to me...

Yes, Bermuda blue. I would have guessed it was exactly that one. What is the paint code for the car from the factory (in the door jamb)? Seems to be a high quality respray, definitely fools me lol.

I think the blue S2000 colors we got here in the US were Suzuka (lighter than yours) and Laguna Blue.

I’ll take a look a little later today. The carfax showed “car colored blue” as a line item about 10K miles ago right after the last PO bought the car-- apparently his brother owns a body shop. PO was an employee at the dealership I bought it at so I’ll see if any of his old buddies can find out what color he painted it.

Love that color and really everything aside from the hood and front lip.
Where in VA are you?

That’s what I was figuring too, since it was just 08/09. I may look to do the CR lip kit on the stock bumper with the CR wing though, so that would be perfect if he’d used that color!

Springfield, how about you? Same-- the front lip has to go, the hood can stay for a while but only if I cover that hideous offcentered bulge with some matching paint...

It’s an AP2, second year of them I want to say (06). Aside from the body kit, it has a K&N CAI, got the blue respray, tinted windows, aftermarket stereo head unit, custom upholstered seats (matching blue centers) and the Invidia exhaust and test pipe. It used to have coilovers as well, but was returned to the stock suspension setup. I’ll be putting in a high flow cat to cut down on the number of polar bears I’m slaughtering, but the exhaust sounds good otherwise, a little droney... reinstalling a CAT should cut down on that a bit.
I don’t understand the vast number of these with aftermarket front bumpers, the 05-09 bumper actually looked pretty damn good stock! At least with the CR you get the downforce and factory fitment, so I could see myself going that route, especially if I pick up a CR wing. Little gaudy-- but I will be doing quite a bit of canyon cruising and will probably track it a few times a year so the downforce would be nice.

I’m on the south side of Richmond, the Colonial Heights/Chester area. I’m thinking about holding an Oppo meet down here in the next year or two, but I’m having trouble finding a good spot that’s friendly to under-21s. Stone Brewery would be a perfect place otherwise.

Ah cool. Yeah, an OPPO meet would be fun. I don’t even know if there’s been one up here in NOVA...
What might be easier to setup would be an OPPO cruise. Have people meet along skyline drive, maybe hit one of the diners or restaurants along it midway through the drive for everyone to socialize.

Yeah, somewhere like Luray, Harrisonburg or Waynesboro might be a good meeting spot-- about equidistant from DC and Richmond...

It does look close to Electron Blue Pearl. I’m not an expert on Honda colors either, though. Either way, it’s very nice.

Charlottesville. I had a guess it was Northern-ish VA judging by dealer plate and another post of yours for Katies C&C.

It really is a great area to be an enthusiast. And our c&c group and the car club is a little more down to earth.
